About Sara

Sara Nafziger, RN BSN CCE, is a Certified Childbirth Educator who lives in Harrisonburg, Virginia with her husband and three young sons. Her children were born in 2006, 2009 and 2012. She earned her Bachelors in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University and holds a Professional Childbirth Education Certification. Sara has practiced as a Registered Nurse in the Shenandoah Valley for over 10 years, and her professional experience includes labor and delivery, newborn nursery and postpartum care, as well as prenatal education and medical/surgical nursing. Sara is originally from Upstate New York and moved to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in 1996.

Portrait of a mother with her newborn babyExperienced Expectations is prenatal education that goes beyond the basics- covering the core information found in any childbirth class, yet also tailoring each class to meet the unique interests and needs of that particular group.  

We offer in depth childbirth classes for all parents, whether this is your first child or your fifth.  Private one evening refresher classes are also available for “experienced parents”, who simply want a review of labor information.

…. Our classes provide a place for expectant parents to come together, be heard, learn and joyfully anticipate the arrival of their newest family member.  By providing informative labor and birthing education, Experienced Expectations prepares expectant fathers & mothers for the miraculous journey we call childbirth!
